Delete your account
You can permanently delete your Wundaloom account, every child profile under it, and all of the reading data associated with it. Two ways:
From the Wundaloom app (fastest)
- Open Wundaloom on your phone or tablet.
- Sign in as the account holder.
- Go to Profile → Parent Zone and enter your Parent PIN.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, re-enter your password, and tap Delete.
You'll be signed out. Your account and child data are removed straight away; residual cleanup (audio files, etc.) completes within 30 days.
By web request (if you no longer have the app)
Email support@wundaloom.com from the email address on your Wundaloom account, with the subject line “Delete my account”. We reply to confirm identity, then delete on the same terms as the in-app flow.
Please include:
- The email address on your Wundaloom account (must match the sender address).
- Confirmation that you understand deletion is permanent and includes every child profile.
We aim to acknowledge within 3 working days and complete deletion within 30 days of your request (usually within one week).
What gets deleted
- Your Wundaloom account (email, password, PIN, preferences)
- Every child profile you created
- All reading events, quiz attempts, vocabulary logs, favourites, shelves, and reviews
- Every personalised story edition and personalised narration audio file
- Your customer record at RevenueCat (our subscription processor)
What we must retain and why
The following residue is kept for legal, tax, and fraud-prevention reasons only — never for marketing:
- A one-way salted hash of your email address (we cannot reverse it to your address) so we can honour deletion and reconcile any late-arriving refunds.
- Pseudonymous subscription reconciliation records — product identifier, dates — with no personal identifiers attached.
- The minimum accounting records required by UK tax and audit rules, as set out in our published Child Data Retention & Deletion Schedule.
Apple and Google retain transaction information under their own policies. Wundaloom cannot delete records held independently by those stores; their privacy tools or support channels apply.
Your store subscription is separate
Deleting your Wundaloom account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. To cancel a subscription you also need to manage it in your device settings:
- Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions
- Google: Play Store → Subscriptions
Deleting one child without deleting the account
If you want to remove one child profile but keep the account, open the “Who's reading?” screen in the app and tap the small trash icon on that child's card. You'll be asked for the Parent PIN.
